Which browser do you use? I've got adblock Edge and firefox running, no ads here.

    And again!

Internet Explorer doesn't like Adbloc and keeps resetting / disabling it.

    Change to Firefox or Chrome

I don't use any kind of ad blocker and I don't find them intrusive at all, all there is for me is a small banner add at the top (usually for Ford) and a small rectangular one in the top right. Do other people get more than this then?

I've just changed my Windows 8 lappy from IE to Google Chrome and suddenly DS is awash with adverts. Driving me nuts and I don't have to technical knowhow to figure out how to stop them.

I don't think I have ad-blockers installed (can't see them on my list of Firefox add-ons anyway).

But I do use a 'hosts' file, which is a list of sites (some 16000 of them) that should be ignored. That seems to get rid of most adverts, and should work across browsers.

Unfortunately getting this set up might not be simple (and might be different between Windows versions). Although in principle it's simple; the contents of this text file, which is at this location in Windows 7:

    C:\Windows\Systems32\drivers\etc\hosts

needs to be replaced with one having the full lists of sites. That latter can be downloaded, but you need to be in administrator mode to modify that file.

You should also get one bottom right.
Then there are the ads that fire off of their own accord and take up the current browser tab (and can also play music). I used to have this problem on phones/tablets. Very annoying on a phone, as it eats up your allowance.

Or IE11 with Tracking Protection enabled (same with IE10). No ads whatsoever. :)

Adblock plus with Firefox or Chrome is superb. I forget how much web pages are plastered with ads.

I wish I could set Adblock to exclude all the I'm sick of DS ads threads.
