When I now log I get a blue screen and a message saying one my disks needs to be checked for consistency !
I have the option to run the disk check or cancel it. I leave it to run and it completes stage one...then goes to stage two and nothing happens...no matter how long I leave it to run, it stays at 0 percent.
I switch off the PC (via main pc switch) log on again and get the same message. I cancel the disk check and my PC boots up OK ?
Any ideas how I can either complete the disk check to clear the message or how I get rid of the message ?
Thanks in advance

Also remove all but the last restore point (gives you something to fall back on if it ever goes paps up)
The scan (I believe) is baulking because the system is full of extraneous data that should be removed periodically but hasn't been.

No worries.
I'm sure most that look there look here as well, but it might help you get a quicker answer.
