My journey back in time!

In these days of instant recording via Sky Plus, my old vhs tapes have been gathering dust and I didn't even think the old video recorder still worked. Just been doing some spring cleaning and stuck an unlabelled video in to the machine which sprang to life immediately and I have enjoyed an hour "revisiting" 2000 and 2001.
What surprised me is that what was going on in that tape does not seem like 10 and 11 years ago! I watched an episode of the very first Big Brother, recorded the week that Craig and Claire were up for eviction, an omnibus edition of the much missed Brookside and the channel four news discussing the foot and mouth outbreak in Britain.
I also enjoyed watching the old adverts. Now that I know my machine works I am going to dig out all my 90's videos that are in the loft and revisit some old stuff. We often tended to just leave the videos running after recording specific programmes so there is some really interesting stuff on there. Scary though how time flies.
