Only Human was good as far as I can remember, but I read it a number of years back so I would have been 10 or 11 years old and probably not as literate as I am now.
I can remember it featured Neanderthals depicted reasonably accurately (the book portrayed them as having high-pitched voices if I remember rightly, which modern scientists believe they had), time travellers from the 51st century (or thereabouts) and genetic experiments gone wrong.
I remember reading Beautiful Chaos and thinking it was really good, but I've forgotten most of the story now.
It did have Wilf in it (always a good thing) and quite a touching story of someone with Alzheimer's
The Silent Star Go By was also fantastic, but if I were to choose an Eleventh Doctor novel, it would be "Touched by an Angel" which was one of the most wonderful books I have ever read.
The Deviant Strain
The Clockwise Man
The Stealers of Dreams
Winner Takes All
Only Human
The Monsters Inside
Is my personal order.
Also the 7th Doctor was featured in a large number of BBC Novels, yet they went with a TV novelisation.
Almost certainly a rights issue with the Virgin novels, but it's still strange why a "past Doctor" adventure from the BBC range isn't there.
The first six are BBC PDAs.
Oh definitely, but I did say BBC books
They had:
Illegal Alien
The Hollow Men
Matrix
Storm Harvest
Bullet Time
Relative Dementias
Heritage
Loving The Alien
The Algebra Of Ice
Atom Bomb Blues
To choose from, so why choose Remembrance?
Would assume it's the same reason Big Finish do so many Dalek stories, an 'of the Daleks' story will sell better than a regular one.
I doubt the BBC would want the virgin books put out again, they were aimed at adults and wouldn't fit in with what the brand is now.
no s**t
I know, but someone less informed than yourself might not have known that
