so last night I went to see Tron , I wanted to see it in 2D but it's only on in 3D .
I could not believe it when the cashier said £8.70 plus 80p for glasses .
!
you could literally hear my jaw hitting the floor . I couldn't believe it .
I mean this isn't London (God knows what they have to pay there! ) this is Birmingham .
I said to the cashier that I could see it at Imax for that price .
I checked today and the prices are £9.50 at cineworld , £9.60 at Imax .
I mean Imax is far superior to Cineworld .
a few years ago Imax was about double the price of a normal cinema ticket .
I won't be going to another 3D movie at cineworld I know that

we saw it at 6pm thursday night , there were only a dozen people in there .
people aren't gonna keep paying these prices especially when the 3D process is worse than 2D and the films aren't exactly great .
that's true but cineworld loves asking for that extra £1.50....:)
Would the prices going up I really can'y afford paying £8.60 for 2D prices in London.
No wonder why people pirate them.
I don't even have a cineworld nearby to take advantage of the £13 unlimited plan.
Ok, fair enough. But after a year of these extra costs I am willing to bet my life upon it that they have recouped the costs and more by now!
I have only paid extra for one 3D film this year, that was Tron, and no it wasn't worth it. Normally I will sneak into the 3D screening if I can. Or I will quite happily just watch the 2D one.
I suspect it would be different if I normally wore glasses so was more used to them, and obviously a lot of other people DO prefer it, but I'm very underwhelmed so far.
Sorry but I completely disagree! We never go anywhere else since we discovered tge gallery!
Think about it you spend 17 quid and more when you go to a regular screening!
A gallery ticket buys you UNLIMITED top ups on soft drinks and popcorn and nachos!
Lat time we went we had 3 popcorns between us and several soft drinks! I can only imagine how much that would have cost is a regular screen!
Odeon gallery is the best cinema experience an worth every penny
