    Any Doctor Who fan has waited and waited and will wait and wait again for new episodes.

    I guess the same could apply for any companion that is "dropped" off at the end of their time in the TARDIS

    I think the distinction is that it was more significant because of her age and the fact that her life was adversely affected by him not coming back for her.

    Personally i feel sorry for Rory since he had to wait 2000 years :)

    Actually I agree with this, I don't know how he could have gone through this without turning mental, although he was an auton so maybe.... that's the reason.

    :cry: It was sad as I really thought they would see each other and she would travel with the Doctor through space and time, though she did travel through space in a way, as a ship, a bit like the tardis does.:cry:

    He should have gone back, but that would have changed time. It was very sad.

    I suppose the difference between Amy and the others who waited for the Doctor to come back is that, with theexception of Madame Du Pompadour, they had already travelled with the Doctor. So whilst they were waiting to see if he came back, they still got on with their lives. Not too sure how successful Amy was with that, given how obsessed with her "raggedy Doctor" she was
