I hope Kati Wolf's song is another dance belter in the vein of her previous effort....hopefully she stays away from any blue dress this time though.

And it's funny we are quickly approaching mid-December and still no date set for the tickets to go on sale!?

A Dal seems really promising this year so far

Also looks like it could be Edurne for Spain

Her latest single, its a pop rock high energy number

Really like it. I think it's fairly certain she'll make it to the final.

ahh I'm already obsessed with that Kati Wolf song!
I'll be gutted if she doesn't get to represent Hungary. I'm still seething over the Maltese selection:(

Trintje is chatting (in Dutch, of course) at the moment. You can watch the radio going-ons here; http://www.radio2.nl/live.html

Edit: They just played the song. I don't know how to do describe it. It definitely isn't anything like Birds or Calm After The Storm. No idea.

They're playing Eurovision songs now. Might as well keep this on.

The song is called 'Walk Along'.

I was wrong to expect an emotional ballad, I love this! :D It sounds rather 90's inspired as it has a 'Torn' vibe to it. I don't think it will mimic the success of Common Linnets but I hope it will see them through to the final.

    Why-y-y-y!? :kitty:

Thats it! I was trying to thing what it reminded me of.

It's okay...however I am singing along already by 2.30..so could be a good sign.

I had a dream the other night where I was talking to a naked Dutch person about how to pronounce her name...

    It's pronounced 'Train-cha Oest-er-house'. :D

I think The Netherlands' song is nice. Very catchy and the lyrics are cute. Will definitely make finals but can't see it replicating The Common Linnet's success (still possible for Top 10 finish). The song will likely do well in the charts though after Eurovision. I've only heard one other song from her, which was the theme song for the Dutch drama, Single.

It also reminds me of 'Should've Known Better' but so much better. Anouk didn't let me down.:)

I love the "woohoohoo"'s that appear from 2 minutes in.

    Top 5 in Vienna.:p

    Studio version......

I was really disappointed with it. It's too repetitive. I'm not sure that it can get top 10 but I think it will do well in the charts.

And that is why you set your expectations at zero. Wow I'm pleasantly surprised! :) I'm totally hearing the Torn meets Should've Known Better vibe. A tough ask to match CATS success both in ESC and the sales afterwards, but a respectable result is surely in the offing.

Utterly dreadful. After a minute, the why-aye-aye-aye are so damn frustrating.

Oof I think this is the worst Netherlands have presented in it the past three years. It's not bad by any means, just very...daytime tv. That's the only analogy I can think of. :p

Is everyone ok if the semifinals open on Sunday for two weeks?

First song I've ever liked from the Netherlands.

I like it! Very radio friendly and Trinjtje is a fantastic live performer, so top 10 again is likely for The Netherlands. I can see it getting high marks off the UK and Belgium easily.

Torn being one of my favourite songs of all time means this has high praise to live up to, but the advantage of being ill is that I have plenty of time to give it a listen.

Has there been any news on tickets being on sale yet for Austria itself yet? I swear normally tickets for the final are out by Christmas?
