Ah ok. Well i don't encourage gambling, it can be a horrible addiction! so fair enough. Think you should be allowed to share information though, guess i'll save that stuff for twitter or something.
I do like him but I just wondered. I wasn't keen on his version of all ber myself though
Do Liverpool play in red ??
Seriously though , he's going to win the whole thing apparently as he gets double the second person's persons votes each week. Basically he can't lose unless something horrendous from his past hits the headlines !!
In my experience, the term 'homosexual' is more often used by the older generation or people with certain religious beliefs who disapprove of same sex relationships and consider it a 'sin'. Then of course we are all aware of the negative connotations of the use of the word 'homo'.
Most people these days use the word 'gay' - it is much more user friendly and doesn't usually suggest any offensive undertones.
It's a new one on me that the word 'homosexual' is considered offensive or derogatory....it's a precise term for a specific sexual orientation just as 'heterosexual' and 'bisexual' are. I don't see any problem with people substituting the word 'homosexual' for 'gay'.

It may be because to be 'heterosexual' was never illegal whereas to be 'homosexual' or to be more precise to be caught in a 'homosexual act' was punishable with a prison sentence.
'Gay' became the word of liberation so you can see how the connotations of 'homosexual' refers back to when it was illegal to be gay.

But "gay" is virtually a slang word just as "straight" is : the correct terms are homosexual and heterosexual (and language could just as easily evolved so that "gay" was an offensive word like "queer")

I have American gay friends who call each other 'mos.
They have no problem with being labelled homosexuals and have said they don't especially like the term gay because it has a lot of lifestyle connotations they don't care for.
You seem quite touchy about the subject, I wonder why?
Seriously though it's not offensive in the slightest, get over yourself
'Homosexual' is the same as calling a black person 'coloured' it is weighted down with connotations. In itself it is not strictly offensive but I don't think you should insist on using it.

If someone referred to me as 'homosexual' then I would be offended. I would think that that person held a prejudiced POV.

Then you would be part of a very, very tiny minority.
Homosexual is the correct term.

It's easier to say 'gay' so say that.
