Does anyone like JHB ? When she's on I switch to heart or kiss.
JHB and JOB make daytime on LBC a no-go for me. Both are unlistenable the majority of the time. The best thing about JHB is that she is not Jeni Barnett.
Really enjoying Clive tonight but can't help but feel that LBC has a serious lack of fun on the station. I'm not asking for Iain Lee to take over from Nick Ferrari but surely there is room for some light-hearted discussion? Saying that, Iain Lee was brilliant and would be great to hear him back somewhere on LBC.
Congratulations on the new thread, everyone......:)
I am looking forward to Thursday- when the record is changed. No further discussions regarding a certain former PM.
However, the wall to wall benefit debate will, no doubt, continue ?
Is there nothing else going on ??
Evening All......
I fear we will have to wait until Friday or possibly Monday until each presenter has had a chance to have a Funeral debrief discussion. I thought I heard the full cost of the funeral will be released after the event, so it should give them something to talk about.
Andrew Gillian was quite apologetic yesterday for discussing Thatcher. He seemed to spend the whole 3 hours on the same taking point? Having said that, Ive been quite impressed at how many angles they have approached the Thatcher discussion.
I stopped listening last night, I gave it a try but I was enraged after two minutes and retuned to 5Live and that didn't last much longer either as I was subjected to golf on the radio. Golf on the radio? What's that all about? Golf in glorious technicolor on TV is bad enough but on the radio? No way, Jose! I tuned into R4 and got Iain Dale and "What the Papers Say". A much better option than AD and his ridiculous oral delivery. I'll make a note to listen again next Sunday evening.
Ex LBCers Mehdi Hassan and Kevin Maguire also do What the Papers Say from time to time. Until last night, Iain hadnt been on it since he started his Sunday show.

SA used to be light hearted, now he's a bitter queen with chips on his shoulders.
Negativity in the morning. No wonder Londoners are miserable.
I missed Clive's coverage as I've not been in long. Other bad news today included those three small children found dead and the suicide of their mother.
I was on the tube and heard a girl talking on the phone about a bomb in America. When I got off and back into the car, I heard Clive curtailed the legal hour to have some up-to-minute reports.
Steve was surprised at being 'put up for an award' but having people vote in an open contest isn't the same as actually being nominated. I doubt if anybody from a local station will win, up against national presenters, but it would be interesting to see a list of the final figures.

Nothing to stop all Nick Abbot fans on here from voting for him. He was on TalkSPORT at one time which is a national station.:)

I did wake up to Steve discussing his experience with First Direct bank.

9am - 1pm "Full coverage of the ceremonial funeral of Margaret Thatcher, with Nick Ferrari, Iain Dale and David Mellor."
No JOB or Livingstone!

Morning all.
Well said g-s!
They called Andy Crane in to the studio and he's doing a good job.
Thank goodness it wasn't Dotun's shift.
You switched back on then?:D
Serial moaners always do. It gives them something to moan about.

True but I still doubt if he or any non-BBC presenter could clock up as many votes as, say, Danny Baker or Chris Evans etc.
Ten laptop warriors,on this thread wont swing it chinnie !
