You do know he's married to a woman and that the camp act is just that, an act? His former comedy partner is openly gay and he calls David the campest straight men he's ever met.

I think this perhaps this subject should continue in a 'what's gay' thread. It's getting off topic.

I have to say that I actually feel sorry and incredibly embarassed for Simon this time.

    Its come to this?

Even though I notice the gulliable falling for it all over the place, is it really worth it in the long run?

After all the "lads" cyber high five him, what does this do for his reputation? A man who can't keep it in his pants and only hires female judges if he thinks he wants to stick it in them? A man who will tell some "journalist" something that(if it were true) is private and probably not something the woman wanted public.

And what if Dannii actually comes out saying it's not true? Obviously there will be some that won't believe her, but what about those that do. Is it worth him being seen as a slimeball?

The only quotes that have been mentioned in any paper, is that he "fancied her", and not had an affair with her as everyone's assuming.

He is quoted saying it was genuine love. That means it was something deeper. I agree, the term affair is some media's angle on it.

Simon is an intelligent man... Why does he think he can fool us?

He doesn't need to fool all of us all of the time.
He just needs to fool all of the people some of the time and some of the people all of the time.

Given that The Sun's TV advert for its serialisation of the biography was shown immediately after BGT finished last night, and Cowell himself tweeted that he wasn't looking forward to the "unauthorised" book in turn not long after that, it's pretty certain this is exactly what's happened.

And front page of the Sun today, funny that

Why do people think Cowell is gay? I know it's a running joke, but what's the actual reasoning behind it? I can't help but feel it's some sort of jealous reaction to his success.
'She was foxy. She was a real man's girl. Very feminine.'

Does that quote go some way to answering your question?
What straight man would say something like that?
That's amongst one of the 'gayest' things I think I've heard anyone say.
If I came out with that sentence myself I'd be wondering if I'd suddenly turned gay.

The only way he could have made that sound more gay is if he'd also commented on her having nice shoes too.

He is always touching other men, seems obsessed with Simon and is constantly talking about gays.
He doesn't hide his true feelings for men, so yes, that's obvious gay to me.[/QUOTE]

It means he is at ease with his sexuality, whatever that may be, bi i would guess, but many people aren't like that and Simon is a very private person deep down whatever his sexuality may be

Yes to accuse someone of being gay is a dig at their success. Obviously

Why do you put it as 'accuse someone of being gay'?
I'm sure that many people who speculate on Simon Cowell being gay or not aren't having a dig.

Although that's not to say that everyone won't be.

People would only 'accuse' somebody of being gay or see it as having a dig at somebody if they thought being gay is a bad thing.
I don't think that you can conclude that everyone does think that.

And certainly that will be the way he gets out of it if Dannii responds with "HELL NO!"

Seeing as she still works for him on Australias got talent i can't see that happening ;)

Its going to be very interesting to see if there is a reaction on twitter from Dannii. A flat out denial would be interesting.

If it is true... it kind of makes Cheryl come out of all this with the damn fine reputation of having the sense NOT to touch him with a bargepole, for if we are to believe St. Simon of Heteromania.... he pretty much wanted to nail her too.

What, the new sainted "Princess Diana" don't think so. The way he talks about her is not at all what you expect, almost deifying her. Cheryl on the other hand comes out of this in this story as someone who is very maniplative.

I think it is laughable how people keep insisting he is gay. Even when all the EVIDENCE points otherwise. I also think it is very demeaning to all the women who he has had relationships with. Bordering on misogynistic.

    It's not about evidence.
It's about intuition and a feeling.

It's only on the internet where people need to have links to pages of 'proof' and 'evidence' in order to reach absolutes in opinion.

That's interesting, you're somehow making out that by someone speculating on Simon Cowell's sexuality they are almost being misogynistic to women.
Well...I never saw that one coming I have to say.:D

It's language like this he is apparently using. It just sounds so.... off.
Like he's trying to write some soft porn fiction....really badly:D

This is bollocks. Lets look at the evidence.

He is a very successful businessman

He has had a few relationships with women, all who are maintained financially by him (They are on the payroll).

Relationships do break apart, but normally it does not end with the female partner, getting a new car, condo in LA & a few million to keep her in laboutins. And the bs about living his lifestyle it's unfair to have them return to normality. They are employees (Beards) to protect his image at any cost.

I reckon he is ashamed of being gay, hence all this bs about him being a raging heterosexual. Simons only love is himself.:D

More offensive to gay people: Assuming that believing someone is gay is an insult and a way to "dig" at them.

It may be that most of the speculation is by gay people for all we know.

If this ends up being true, respect for Cheryl and Sharon goes up, for Dannii goes way down.

Not once did I actually consider the pair of them having an affair, despite so many comments in the past that it must've happened for her to get a slot on the show.

Not really believing it though, reading the article it states there was an affair and how attractive she was (foxy. lol) when it ended, but no real details of when it actually happened which would surely be the real story?

The women he has realtionships with know exactly what the script is. How come none of them have ever came out and said, he's a great shag, a real stud, he farts in bed, he has hissy fits when he can't find the concealer, screams like a girl while getting botox, he wears heels bigger than theirs and the list goes on. On the surface he seems like a catch, but what is the catch ?

The brighter the light , the darker the shadow. Dont forget that what we see is what he wants us to see, very contrived and in no way true to how he really is privately.

I can't help but think of the crappy way he treated Dannii over the last few years on the show. All in favor of "Queen Cheryl". Now that Cheryl has basically told him to p**s off, he's back to talking up his "chemistry" with Dannii. Hey, I guess he figures she's still employed by him. :p

Dannii, get yourself some self respect. Even if I believed this were true, he has no business broadcasting it publicly. Take a page from Cheryl and Sharon's book.

Can't believe I typed that last bit.

    One more thing:

I'm finding the "I knew about that" "I have a source that told me..." "The papers were sitting on it.." comments laughable. Anyone like me that actually remembers when the "Great Dimon love affair" happened, knows that they put out all the stops to make people think they were shagging. At least Simon and his PR did.
