Do you have your pet on facebook and post for them?

A couple of my Facebook freinds have setup pages for their dogs. They post for them as if they were chatting to us in real life, its quite sweet really. I don't have one as currently have no pets what with 2 young children though.

I got a FB friend request from my friend's cat a while ago. I treated it with the contempt it deserved and ignored it. :p

I have a whole group of people who have 2nd accounts as their pets and all talk to each others' pet with them.. Dont bother me I dont think its strange either but I would not do one for my dog as I have enough trouble thinking what to say as myself :D

Sadly, yes. My budgies have almost 1,000 friends but I have recently had a cull and it's nearer to 800 now. :D

You culled 200 budgies? Shocking, there should be a law against it!

I have one for my dog. Created it when we first got them at 8 weeks & it's a good diary/photo scrapbook of their adventures & life.

My dog has her own FB and yes, she is listed as my daughter :p

We also have 3 cats and my OH made an account for each of them. That was going a bit far.

    :D

There's a DS member who has a page for his cat Thomo. He doesn't talk to folk as his cat though, it's just hilarious pics of the most laid back cat ever. :D

No because then people would think I'm a mentalist.
I love my cats but they are cats not people.

I don't have Facebook for my cats, but they are all contributors to Scratching Post

Even if you don't want to post on behalf of your cat, it is a really good site to join as each week they have an "Ask the Experts" session, and I got some good advice about the problem I had with Shadow pooing on the bathroom floor.

We have a profile for one of our dogs, which was initially set up for the lulz, but my mum has since started using it as if it were her own account (she doesn't want to use her actual details).

I have a friend who has a Facebook page for her dog, a Golden Labrador.
It's harmless and I like looking at it.
    What's wrong with that ?

My cat has made several appearances on my Facebook page, but as he can't write, sleeps for 18 hours a day and isn't human, I think it would be seriously strange for him to have his own Facebook account.

Is it very old-fashioned to say that I often don't much care what my human Facebook friends are up to, never mind their animals? :D

I mean, imagine - "Sparky" is at the vet's". Somebody give me a damn so I can care one!

No. My friend does it and badgered everyone on her list to add the dog, it's bloody annoying.
