Star Wars: Rebels - 2 Teaser Trailers

Finally some actual video from the upcoming TV show - which starts in Autumn 2014. If you watched THE CLONE WARS, then you'll be pleased with the art style since they're both very similar. Not surprising since the team who made CLONE WARS are the ones doing REBELS.

The teasers are only 30 seconds each but it's better than looking at leaked screenshots. :)

Loved the Clone Wars, have all the Blu-rays and looking forward to this. Not sure on the facial style compared with the Thunderbirds faces of the CWs, looks odd and cheap.

I'm going to check this out. I've been longing to get into a Star Wars show.

Here's the new official trailer that was released yesterday. It's a little over 2 minutes long and it looks good.: LINK

Looks good, although sometimes its clear that it fits its Disney XD home.

BTW, will the UK XD show this?

Don't know if people have already seen it via other means but,

DisneyXD [HD] are showing a 'sneak peek' ( = 10 mins) at 7.45am Monday 25 Aug. (may be repeated throughout the day)

If this is as decent as some of the Clone Wars was you can dry your eyes...unless you yearn for the return of such classics as Droids, Ewoks, the Endor films or the Christmas Special.

I loved the Ewok cartoons as a kid.

Actually, it occurs to me that I saw the Ewoks cartoon multiple times as a kid without having a clue what Star Wars was. I didn't see the trilogy until I was 18!

I don't know why someone doesn't do a more serious Star Wars animation.

I'd love to see one based on Shadows Of The Empire or the Thrawn Trilogy.

Some of The Clone Wars stuff was just as good as the Thrawn Trilogy, and better than Shadows of the Empire. Trouble was there was no consistency. One story arc would be dark and serious, followed by a light hearted kiddie arc.

I saw Rebels with my kids this morning. I hope to have their review up on www.jedinews.co.uk in the next few days (school homework permitting!)

Anyone catch the first episode? Not a bad start, surprisingly it was better than I expected.

It's was ok. Not bad, not great. I think it will please the kids, which of course is who it's aimed at. For me, it was nice seeing stormtroopers and tie fighters again in new settings. Ezra's helmet-hair was a bit distracting though.

^His hair wasn't as bad as the Wookies. They just looked wrong.

It was enjoyable. Don't know much of the background, but I can already see they are filtering in the gaps for newbies.

I liked it, and looking forward to the rest of the season. I suppose it's only natural coming from a Disney production, but I see an awful lot of Aladdin in Ezra, I half expected him to start singing Street Rat
