Not every character can be A-list. Every soap needs those secondary and lower characters to make it feel like a community. Otherwise the show may as well be just a few characters like a drama.
Fatboy fits that perfectly. As does Dexter.

B list - Nancy Peter Patrick
C list - Fatboy, Mo, Denny
D List - Winston, Marie, Tracy
