BBC3 and E4. Just don't like the accents and tone. Trying to be funny.
The bbc2 girl who has a constant sore throat. Sometimes she can't even get the words out.
Food Network. The female is particularly annoying but both the male and female presenter always get one of the chefs names wrong even though the first line in the show the chef tells you his name!!!
The woman who does Masterchef, plus that whole style of female voiceover that rises up about three-quarters of the way through a sentence and then ends really low, if you know what I mean. Completely overdone and very un-natural way of speaking.
Yes, it's got more pronounced as the series have progressed.
She doesn't speak in that tone in real-life, though her voice is naturally husky.
Maybe she's got bored with the job and just does it for the money...
I HATE, as in really REALLY hate A LOT, really really badly, the woman who does the voice over on the Great British Menu thing. I can't STAND her voice and her accent, I HATE IT. GAH.
Oh dear, I am getting all stressed about it. But I want to watch the programme and it annoys me SO MUCH, especially when she sounds all posh and southern most of the time, but then pronounces 'pass' as if she's Tess Daly's more northern best mate. It sounds so unnatural to me.
Two of them: the female who narrates 'Masterchef'; far too dramatic for my taste. Worse, though, is the whining nasally voice of John Hannah on the Co-op ads. "Gud with Fud" Grrr!

The previous voiceover by Jennie Bond was just as bad though.
Don't know the guy's name, but his deep throaty voice really annoys me as it's always so monotone! He presents the "Greatest Movie Mistakes" on BBC3 and also does an ad on 4OD for something where he says "One hot tomalay" (whatever the heck that means). Ugh, I just cringe when I think of his voice!
That woman who narrates Dinner Date. How embarrassing is she? She tries to copy the voiceover on Come Dine With Me but fails miserably.
Her voice is so false and the supposed witty comments fall completely flat.
+1.
I was just about to write this. Probably more the fault of crappy ITV scriptwriters thinking 'How can we make this like CDWM without making it obvious we're trying to copy CDWM? Oh I know, we'll write a substandard script and make a woman read it...nobody will notice then.'
There has been a rise in the annoying continuity announcer in recent years.
I would have thought that a neutral voice is better when people have little choice but to listen, but the trend is for "comedy regionals", "husky miss", and "wacky funsters"
I'm not a big fan of the masterchef lady, but then again it wouldn't be the same without her.
The single worst one though, and I'm not sure if this counts, is the awful woman who does Cash In the Attic, I think shes called Lorne Spicy or something? When she does bits of continuity voiceover she literally makes my brain melt, especially if its a website she's reading out. Her accent is unbearable.
The Masterchef woman, the Channel 4 continuity Geordie bloke and the man who's Channel 5's version of Channel 4's Geordie, but Welsh. He's got a really irritating whiny voice and it makes me cringe. Mind you, I only watch The Hotel Inspector on 5 so I don't hear him that much!:D

I agree entirely, which is why I was surprised it was Matt Berry (Might Boosh, IT Crowd), an actor i really like. What was that voice all about?
Moer to the point, what was that programme all about?

Ahhhhhh, it winds me up!
