Another one to go with that is politicians (all parties) saying "I think its right that.." all the time.

Another politician (and other self righteous types)one: 'Its really important'. When I hear that I know that it really isn't.

And if they throw in "lessons will be learned", I know that whatever has gone wrong will definitely happen again.

What on earth does that mean? I haven't heard it before, but no doubt I'll start hearing it everywhere now. Like Yellow Car Syndrome. :D

We are where we are. Sister to the aforementioned It is what it is. Both used by bosses at work to shut you up.

"We're all in this together" this only means you are the one who will suffer !

    "Criminality"..........WTF ??

"Human Rights"...........What about the rights of those who have suffered at the hands of those wanting "Human Rights" ???

"EU Regulations"............One of the main reasons we are in the S*it we are in.

'Only a dog wants a bone' 'real women have curves' it seems it's become the norm lately to bash skinny people but it's totally unacceptable to do it to fat people. It's also never curvy women that say it, it's fat people or people with a belly that feel insecure so want to justify themselves out of jealousy.

I don't find it acceptable to say nasty things about either. The only time you should mention someone's weight is if you are worried about them and are trying to help. When it's clearly just insults to be spiteful I can't stand it.

This isn't really a recent saying but it's one that's used a hell of a lot.
'Life is what you make it'
I can understand the reasons behind it, but some people really do go through some horrible things that they don't have any control over and that saying is worded in a way that makes it sound like you have total control over absolutely everything.

Adding ', no?' to the end of sentences. Especially prevalent on forums during debates

That's the most annoying habit, no? >:(

Beyond happy, excited, insert other emotion here. If you're beyond it then you aren't feeling it, right?!? So what are you feeling then???

Let me just say, in actual fact, at the end of the day, that the bottom line is that people didn't used to be passive aggressive. Sulky is what they were.
