People assume she will play a Lady type figure but what if she is playing an old hag type woman in the woods who houses Cersei if Cersei is forced to flee Kings Landing. I think something like that will be on the cards because I think some how The Hound and The Mountain are going to bump into each other and that happening while The Mountain is fleeing with Cersei sounds plausible. Esp if they head north so maybe Angela's character could fit in somewhere with that.
Maybe she could even be the witch who told Cersei her future when she was a kid. Lots of possiblities.
Good call here.
I think this is exactly how The Mountain and The Hound will meet again with The Hound finally taking his revenge. The Botherhood will then have Cersei too which opens up all sorts of possibilities. I bet Cersei is in for it tough next season if she is forced to flee and live it rough
Let's hope Angela Lansbury is available as she is on Broadway most of next year . Her age is irrelevant recent appearances on stage and interviews prove she's physically 20 years younger than her age .
Indeed
Which is the point i was trying to make a few posts ago
So has filming started or not then? Sophie Turner has had blonde hair for the past month so this would suggest Sansa isn't in the opening episodes surely?

They don't film in episode order, so something they're filming now could be for episode 6 or 7

My theory is that they'll meet in King's Landing – I wouldn't be surprised if Littlefinger sells out Sansa to Cersei to get back in Cersei's good books now that Cersei's Queen, and Cersei still holds Sansa partly responsible for Joffrey's death, so will want to get her hands on her. I don't think Littlefinger will have forgiven Sansa for starting to stand up to him and getting Brienne to threaten him. Then, once Littlefinger had delivered Sansa to Cersei, there'd be a trial of combat - the Mountain fighting for Cersei, and the Hound being the only one willing to fight for Sansa, given their past bond.

Would Cersei/King's Landing be anything other than a smouldering ruin after Dany gets through with it, though?
It will interesting to see just how Dany will gain control. The witch said Cersei's reign would be a short one, until a more beautiful queen casts her aside, but just how short is the question.

Hopefully they can keep Lena in the show as long as possible.

It's been revealed that Lena Headey has been optioned for Season 8, but that does not actually guarantee she'll be in it. The same was said of Natalie Dormer fir Season 7 and then they suddenly killed her off.

It'll be interesting to see Cersei's fate. I can't remember the exact phrasing from The Frogs prophecy, but I thought it was 'cast aside'. This could mean she may not die. I've thought that the most satisfying ending for Cersei, would be to live - in some slum, ie: Fleabottom, as a vagrant, possibly disfigured/disabled - in obscurity, the opposite of how she wishes to be seen/remembered.

A death seems too good for her, somehow.
I like the theory that she will go on the run and be forced to live it rough in the north until some how Jamie catches up with her. I've always thought their ending would be like Romeo and Juliet.
I think the only main characters who will live until the very last episode are Dany, Jon, Tyrion, Aya, Brienne and Bran.

And just how is The Hound going to get his revenge? Kill kim? He is already very dead you know
How on earth are all these rumours being treated like spoilers on this thread? Nobody knows whats going to happen so it's all just guess work

It was "to cast you down and take all you hold dear".
That could point to her being left destitute, stripped of her titles and wealth and power.
But I think Cersei is just too mad and vicious to live her life as a pauper. She'll fight till the last and try to take everybody down with her.
I think she actually fits Varys' description of Littlefinger, "He would see this country burn if he could be king of the ashes".
And Daenerys saw in her vision at the House of the Undying the throne room at King's Landing all burnt and in ruins.
Cersei is going down in flames, one way or another, mainly because it's what we've come to expect from Cersei.
Having her merely stripped of her titles and cast aside would feel like a bit of a damp squib after all she's said and done.
I think also, that they'll want Cersei out of the way once and for all. They won't want her to even exist as a distraction from Jon, Daenerys and the White Walkers in the viewers' minds once she's been defeated.

Glad you agree.
Good.
Yes, it started as a rumour somewhere, but it isn't true. The media keep copying the original story a lot. She isn't going to be in GOT.
Her people have confirmed she's not going to be in it.

Real shame. I loved hearing the theory about her being an older Maggy the Frog.

Ah right ok! Emilia mentioned at the Emmy's
Wow, Battle of the Bastards will take some beating! However, I have full faith in GoT to treat us to something that will be truly spectacular.

I think Dany would be a lot more concerned about the smallfolk than Cersei, and not want to raze the city to the ground?

A sea battle with Euron's Fleet

Modeled on Hilary Clinton? Imagine her in GoT, and the Donald as some kind of wandering headbanger.
