"Sorry we have lost the line".
I know it used to happen on occasions when they were based in London, but since moving to Salford it seems to be happening quite regularly.
I only dip in and out of some shows, but I've heard it on the Breakfast Show, Drive Show, Victoria Derbyshire's Show, and the show presented by Shelagh Fogarty in the past few days.
They even lost the line from the man downstairs in Salford reporting on the Queens visit, to Shelagh upstairs in Salford.!
Anyone else noticed the increase in this?

I do believe the Salford site has not ironed out the glitches yet, which is making them sound very amateurish!
Mmmmm! makes a change from constant M25 updates!:D
Yes, you're right. And it's ANNOYING!!!
There's a wonderful You Tube clip somewhere of the very first Central News South from Abingdon, during which almost every tape went down. IIRC the tapes were inserted into the playout system by some state of the art robot. In radio terms, think putting the carts in the wrong order.
It's inevitable that bits of Salford won't work at first. The Daily Mail had a field day with it earier this week, seemlessly linking electrical and snagging faults with Sian Williams refusal to move there.
Maybe so, but it's an observation that I have noticed, rightly or wrongly.
Nothing ever go wrong at your workplace?
London based presenters broadcasting and turning up in Salford when they feel like it also doesn't help matters.
to behonest te M25 is a busier and more important route as any traffic going into or through london or the Coast will use it and its linked to the M11, M4, M1, M3, M40 so everyone going on them will care. The M60 and M62 are getting a little to omuch coverage R5 desperate to be prove its in the north.
Yes particularly Richard Bacon who seems desperate for publicity at the moment. Have listeners got tired of his "me,me me" approach?
No I have not noticed this...............then I did stop listening to 5live years ago when Victoria Derbyshire then Richard Bacon turned up.
It would have been better had the feed gone down rather than the line to the caller to the Victoria Derbyshire programme.. just about the worst thing on the radio.
Agreed. Depressing, sanctimonious woman with all the entertainment value of an out of date bus timetable.
