gotTalent judging criteria

Saw this from the T&C on america got talent. This is the way judging panel decides on an act.

a. Entertainment Value & Appeal: forty percent (40%)
b. Creativity: thirty percent (30%)
c. Ability: thirty percent (30%)

    That's depressing so actually you don't have to be all that talented at all :(

    It's an entertainment show so they need people that can connect with the audience or the audience can laugh at - it's never been all about the talent.

    Just look at anything like music/tv etc it's not always the best people that get the job but who is good with the crowd. Someone like Robbie Williams is a good example, he's not the best singer talent wise but he has the personality to put on a big show and get the audience going.

    Still he is a very good singer IMHO, though not a very best singer.
