As far as i can see he is dumbing down to be on a level with the person he is interracting with. It's a common thing socially or business wise to adapt your language to suit the perople you are interracting with. On the shows I've seen you never see any real conversations with his older friends or his brother because the show is primarily about the girls;however; you see that he always has his brother and his long group of associates at social events showing a need for mature company and perhaps more serious conversation. I can imagine if you had to put up with Holly & Bridgets baby act 24/7 you would have to have a normal support group with whom you can act like a normal human being

It's funny, I'm a hardcore feminist and used to hate the whole playboy ethos but since watching the show I grew quite 'fond' of their dynamic. It's blatant Hef isn't pressurising the girls for sex - there's probably very little actual sex going on and maybe he isn't even 'up' for the job anyway. He keeps the girls safe and helps their careers broaden other than by just posing nude, pays them plenty and helps their families. The playboy girls are the more 'healthy' side of the sex industry these days - celebrating healthy, well-built young women and their bodies (shame about the boob jobs tho), as opposed to the modelling industry and the porn industry which are just disgusting by comparison.
