Thank you all for your help - I think it's sorted. I spoke to CS (UK based) yesterday and suggested that having Talk Unlimited and Talk Off Peak maybe causing me to be charged for calls that should be free. She deleted Talk Off Peak and confirmed that my £9.49 discount is still on my account.
I really appreciate all the replies - I now await my next bill!
Dont forget that if that was the problem then the computer will still be perceiving chargable calls up until the day it was removed. If there are charged calls after that day then something else is wrong.

Thanks. I will call CS to get a refund for the calls made before the removal of the old 'phone plan. I will check my bill more carefully from now on. However, I have hardly had any billing isues in my 8 years with cable in its' various guises.
