Fenrir was the wolf that destroys the world in Norse Mythology.

He kills Odin but in turn is killed by Odins son Vidar, during Ragnarok, the Norse Doomsday. Vidar and the surviving gods will rule the new world.

Odin=The timelords?
Bad Wolf = Davros and the Daleks
Vidar = The Doctor?

Who knows.

They had used the Fenrir name before in the series, Fenric.

    this is what it says on the website seems to reinforce the notion of the destroyer of the universe
    In Norse mythology, the Bad Wolf was a god called Fenrir who would one day bring about the end of all things.

    Yes, Fenrir and his two siblings Jörmungandr, (the Midgard Serpent) and Hel, (the ruler of Hel, the Norse underworld) are unleashed and Ragnarök(meaning the destruction of the powers) begins, but this isn't the end of the universe just the end of the powers(the gods...).. some survive and live on... one (human) man and one (human) woman... sound familiar? :p

    So this is not the end of the universe, just the end of that world...

    RTD isn't basing Bad Wolf on Fenrir, instead he's basing it on Rose.

    If you watch DWC this week RTD actually says that Bad Wolf just sort of happened. It wasn't planned at all and the first time we see it as graffiti on the TARDIS it ws going to be something else. The idea of Bad Wolf was developed from there on, which suggests RTD did not have a big story arc to begin with, but it came together over the first series. We already know the last episode was rewritten after Eccleston announced he was leaving.
