continental light fittings

hi there anyone got any ideas. Daughters just bought 1st house on a really tight budget and has been blessed with these new 40mm continental light bulb fittings.

Anyone any ideas where we can get some cheap lampshades that would fit these darned things, we haven't been able to find any so any ideas would be gratefully appreciated. But they have to be cheap.

    sound like ikea jobs , do you mean that the hole in a normal lampshade is too small ??? , i had the opposite problem , i had an ikea lampshade where the hole was too big , easy sorted with a ring of plastic cut from a lid , about the only thing i can think of is going to ikea to be honest , or change the fittings of course :o

    yes english light fittings are 29mm these new continental fittings are 40mm they have to be fitted in new homes. I'll have a trip to ikea if you say they are bigger holes, I've got one of the fittings here, so thanks I'll have a look.
