Thought there was something wrong with my box after the unplugging option didn't restore anything only to eventually find out they've just moved the channels.

Anyhow are there any plans for a software update to remove this annoyance, what about putting the planner back on the main menu - never too keen on the green button.

    What STB/version do you have?

The planner is directly accessible from the main menu on the most recent HD boxes.

White Sky+ Box. Have seen one but they have the TV channel in a small box on screen don't they, I hope you can switch to full screen planner but knowing Sky.

Lifestyle & Culture is now empty of all channels, they have moved them to Entertainment.

You can switch the "mini TV" off, but this doesn't change the layout at all.
It did give a larger EPG layout on one version of the software a few years ago, but that was later abandoned.

The Lifestyle section has actually been removed from the EPG on the HD boxes, but presumably from what you're saying not from the legacy SD box EPG.
    :)

    Highly unlikely.
Sky no longer develop the software for SD boxes and haven't released an update for them since 2010.

Any unsupported box (all SD boxes and the Thomson HD box) will still have the Lifestyle tab in the TVGuide however when selecting it you will see a message saying "there are no services of this type".

All supported boxes had the Lifestyle tab removed from the TVGuide in the R010 software update.
