I am really disturbed the BBFC is currently waiving profanity and a high degree of violence/sexuality as acceptable on "12" certificate.
Any one use of strong language should automatically raise it to "15" and any multiple uses of profanity thereafter should be certified as "18"
Honestly, society is going to the dogs right now and having 6th form students as advisers to the BBFC is one of our problems!
Have skimmed through most of the reviews as I don't want to know too much but it's all sounding good.
I shan't read anymore or watch any promo stuff that might appear now - I shall just wait for Friday the 26th.

Does anyone know if the gun barrell sequence will go back to being at the start of the film? I really missed this on the last two. I know Casino royale sort of had one before the title sequence but it didnt seem the same. When Quantum Of Solace came out I assumed it would be back to normal with the full gun barrell sequence before the film started. But no it was at the end of the film! They really need to put it back at the start. It just isnt the same. When you see a Bond film you expect to see that. It gets you into the Bond mode!
Anyone surprised at the fact there'll be "strong language" in the film? I dont mind per se, but even the darkest films in the canon, Casino Royale and Licence to Kill, didnt have strong language.
Agreed.
James Bond films don't have swearing and I don't think introducing it is 'progress'. I don't know what the word is though.

Agree with this too.
I don't know why they are trying to seperate themselves from Bond tradition. People watching in 100 years time are going to wonder why the Craig films don't have the sequence that all the others do. It needs to fit with the series.

A poster on another forum mentioned it was at the end of the film again.
I am amazed at the violence allowed these days. Much more violent than '18' rated films were when I was growing up.
I put it down to the plethora of flat looking, unrealistic, cartoon like cgi. In our day the likes of Rick Baker and Rob Bottin really did push the creative envelope.
I can't wait for this movie. The trailer is amazing. It looks like they have really learned from the mistakes they made with the awful Quantum of Solace.
97% on Rotten Tomatoes, only one bad review. And it's not a bad review per se, the gist of it is that "it's really good, but should have been excellent". All the others are glowing, so not one genuinely bad review on RT so far. Of course, we're going to get the big rush of reviews, both good and bad, this week, but it's a very promising start. Cannot wait for Friday!
If as being reported M does die it sounds a terrible death..not even killed by the main baddie but one of his Gang and shot in the tummy and bleeds to death I really hope thats not how Dame Judi will be leaving

I'm avoiding reviews as I don't want to be spoiled even a tiny bit but hearing of all the positivity makes me even more excited. Cannot wait!!!
The amazing crapness of Quantum of Solace killed my excited for anything Bond related until I saw the trailer for Skyfall just the other day though.
