    Another weird accent I've just thought of - Joss Stone. She went off to America as a teenager, so kind of understandable.

    Gillian Anderson was born in Chicago and lived in London and Puerto Rico until she was 11. When she returned to the US, she used to be teased about her accent, which changed after a number of years.

    She's been living in the UK for several years but says her accent will change to an American one if someone phones her or she's being interviewed for US TV.

    cilla definelty I also saw her on some documentries about the sixties and she sounded posh nothing like loose women.
    I also suspect paul o'grady puts it on left for london at 18.
    Yet sounds broader than some people who live there.
    Sheena easton went to the U.S at 20 has stayed there ever since that's why she sounds the way she does.
