I've noticed all the news channels are running the clip of him being put into the ambulance on a stretcher. Completely unnecessary, but hardly surprising obviously.

Anyway, I wish him a speedy recovery.

He can fly helicopters too. He was a member of a rescue team near where he lived, and there's a famous story of his team rescuing a hiker that had become lost. When she was in the helicopter she became nauseous and threw up in his cap. She was even more embarrassed when she later found out that the pilot was indeed Harrison Ford. He's also the chairman of the Young Eagles program, which gives kids the chance to experience flight and get them interested in all things flying.

I do hope he's OK though, as he's one of my favourite films stars.

    i didn't know any of that...thanks.
i agree i hope he's not as critically injured as some reports are saying,:(

NBC LA quotes Harrison Ford family 'he has a few gashes, all his good, he is expected to recover and all will be fine'

now what about the poor sods who had a golf match this afternoon huh?

Crash landed on golf course and there just happened to be two doctors playing golf at the hole he hit. They got him out of aircraft and dealt with him until the first responders got there. Third time he has crashed a plane apparently.

I hope the golf club committee issue a stern reprimand. He'll have contravened loads of Rules.

I know right... You must always replace your divots. Come on Indy you should know better.

Crash damage didn't look too dramatic & now reported in "moderate condition"

    He'll be fine :)

Isn't this the second injury he's had recently. Didn't he do something bad to his leg last year while filming the new Star Wars movie. If he comes through this relatively unscathed the angels just have to be smiling on him (but probably suggesting that he leaves the wings/ flying business to them for a bit! :D)

Seriously, I hope he comes good.

Isn't that what they said about her after the crash in the tunnel in 1997.

A plane crash even at low speed is still a hell of a impact for those inside especially if it's a small plane such as his, small planes on a controlled crash are likely to lead to a significant high percentage of internal injuries unlike say a 737.

    Indeed.

Thankfully he had a refrigerator on the plane.
