It's January so it must be time for 6 Music's annual middle-of-the-night re-run of Radio 1's Story of Pop narrated by Alan Freeman - not the original 1970s series but the 52 part incarnation from 1994 which was broadcast weekly throughout that year. Worth a listen just to hear Fluff on the radio again. Part 1 is tomorrow morning (Saturday 4th Jan) at 4 a.m. with the series continuing at the same time every day until towards the end of Feb.

    Excellent series, I will have to iPlayer it, if it is on there. I bought Alan Freeman's History Of Pop on Arcade records, in 1972ish. Also, K-Tels Story Of Pop, both double albums.
