Can someone please check out this On-line Comic Book Store - http://silveracre.com/

Come at it as someone who is looking to easily search through their stock to fill a gap in their collection.

Is it just me or is this a really...... REALLY.... REALLY hard thing to do ?

I'm familiar with the Silveracre site. It's not hard (for me at least).
    Which comic(s) do you want?

Considering filling gaps in some Bat titles between Prodigal and Cataclysm and was looking for a simple [box] where you put in a title and #number and they tell you if they've got it. But for the life of me I can't find such a thing.

Quicksilver is really easy! Just use the options at the top of the page. Let's say you're looking for Batman: You can either click on A-Z and then B, scroll down to Batman, then scan down the list of available copies. Or alternatively click on Search, then enter Batman in title and, if you know what run of issues you're looking for, enter that too. However, as Silveracre are more of a silver-age specialist, they only have Batman up to #500 and Detective Comics to #700, which isn't much use to you, as you will be looking for issues after 500.

Oh dear, my head is wasted. My eyes read Silveracre, but by the time the information got to my brain it had become Quicksilver - Which is not what you were asking about at all.:blush:
I have used Silveracre before as well, but I think it was through eBay, where they also list most of their stock.
I think this is the Batman stuff you're looking for here: http://silveracre.com/xcart/home.php?cat=2&sort=productcode&sort_direction=0&page=3

    ^you're forgiven :)

btw: I guess it was the "we don't show you the covers" thing that threw me, but yes you're right that IS what I'm looking for and a little try has shown it ain't that difficult. AND having bought a few from them recently I know their packaging is great for comics - though it does help to have a wide letterbox :)

btw2: just seen that they've got an issue I was about to eBay from a guy in America for ~x4 the price (once p+p has been included)
AND a copy of a comic that was advertised as NM but arrives as fktup cos the ahole of a seller sent it unbagged and unboarded in a normal envelope with a card board insert SMALLER than the comic and with a fold running the whole length of it, so giving it no protection whatsoever.

Unbelievable! Depending on how much you spent on it, you could get in touch with the dealer and tell them you're unhappy, and since the comic is now a lower grade could he refund the difference. If not, just say you'd rather return it and leave negative feedback.

^I thought of doing that but it'd cost to return more than the comic cost originally and I'd HAVE to use recorded delivery otherwise the oik could claim it didn't arrive. And you can't leave -ve FB if you don't give the seller a chance to fix things so I've written this off as a bad eBay experience and will soon have a NM copy and the other will be satisfying shredded :)

Buying from Silveracre WAS a doddle, and managed to save myself ~£7 p+p as I bought >£50 worth of comics -> £50.70 to be precise :) - that's Cataclysm and No Mans Land completed finally. That bunch includes replacements to a couple of eBayed issues cos it turned out "been used" doesn't mean "read once, then kept bagged and boarded in a smoke free environment. Heck no, "been used" means been used as a door jam, then left out in his scuzzy flat for umpteen years.

^ picked up my package from the depot this morning and if you're looking to fill some gaps in your collection then Silveracre IS a great place to go, though if you end up buy >£50 worth of comics then it is a super great place to go, cos that's when free p+p kicks in :)
You might think of going for the cheaper option with an eBay seller who lists their stuff as "used" but when they turn up all bendy and with torn pieces and huge price tags stickers on 'm that can't be removed cleanly, well when THAT happens you'll be cursing yourself for ever going with the cheaper option. NM is the only way to go (well for me at least). And even if they list it as NM if you haven't bought from them before then it might turn up all un bagged and un boarded and un protected by a larger piece of cardboard so turning their advertised NM into a CPoC (crumbled piece of cr@p) - I'm looking at you Mr Batman Confidential #25.... NM ?! .... my ass !!! >:(
But anyway, I got a positive result from buying from Silveracre and I made sure to buy >£50 of stuff to get their free p+p, so do with that what you will. :)
