Also considering some of the DJ's Themselves are nearer thirty or are in their 30's it's rediculous
Britney will be next.
Exactly! Scott Mills is 40 and is a great DJ.. Nick Grimshaw is younger, yet really annoying..
I think all the DJ's are or 25 Grimy is almost certainley 28-30 so it's baffling why they are snubbing their own peers in favour of snagging a younger audience. It's a shame as genuinely great songs like flatline get ignored
They have their own agenda simply. MKS don't fit it.
I've heard that some of the R1 DJs have said they like the song and fearne cotton wants them on the live lounge
You say that, but look at Mariah with #Beauitful. She is a lot older than Britney and she was playlisted by both Radio 1 AND Capital! (And nobody saw that coming)
It needs to be the right song.
I think Mariah was playlisted because Miguel was on the track. Even though he got the "featuring" credits, he sings a lot in the track. I think radio just didn't find Flatline appealing, hardly anything to do with age. Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic is 34 and he is number 6 in iTunes. Counting Stars must be getting good radio support. Avril's Rock N Roll is an outstanding song and it is a huge shame that radio snubbed it.
Another thing is it who is the current flavour of the month artists who get the attention such as slags like Miley Cyrus and Will.I.Am illuminati pop.
As much as I love the song, I think sometimes some songs are released too early. You hear something in, say, July & love it or find it grows on you & by the time it's officially released 2-3 months on, people have forgotten about it or it's lost its momentum.
Radio 1 and Capital have the biggest influence on the charts. Capital would not play a song like Flatlines but it's totally the sort of song Radio 1 would play..usually.
No "free gift for the fans" or "it was just a song we really wanted to put a music video to" excuses here from MKS.
It is now however being called a "first look single" rather than their debut single lol
I doubt we'll ever see a Sugababe release do well in the charts again. Perhaps a new greatest hits with some unreleased tracks could do well?
Why do these record companies still make such mistakes regarding releasing/promotion etc?
Babes why can't you accept that people might just have a different opinion to you?!
