Yes, I think it is just yourself.

    Indeed, I've gathered that. :D

You have probably got that spot on. I'd love to get our hands on that trophy, especially THAT trophy which has so much history, but equally I won't be gutted if we don't...assuming we haven't lost 19-0 at Charlton.

We've finished second in both our last promotions and who can remember the champions of League Two in 2010 or the champions of League One in 2013? Not many, promotion is the real prize.

Blimey what a load of rubbish I spouted when I was perfectly content with just promotion.

How the emotions changed in the stadium once Sheffield Wednesday scored their equaliser!:D

Sky like to show the play-off spot deciders because it's good promotion for the actual play-off games.

They don't need to promote the play-offs, though, because they're the play-offs and football fans know they're happening and will watch them regardless. Indeed if you're interested enough to watch a regular season game then you certainly don't need reminding the play-offs are on.

Ipswich vs Norwich in the play-offs is a big deal and they didn't need to show us Ipswich scraping into the play-offs on goal difference to promote it. If anything it might have put viewers off it.

Maybe next year they can show the final day of each of the leagues on a seperate day if the schedule allows. League 1 having its own "day" this year worked well. League 2 on the Saturday, League 1 on the Sunday, CL on the Bank Holiday Monday.

What an absolutely beyond utterly bizarre thing to say.

More details have emerged for the Football League show on Channel 5 !

The Football League is set to transform the viewing experience for fans of its clubs following the signing of two ground breaking broadcasting agreements with Channel 5 and ITN Productions and the expansion of a fibre-optic network linking its 72 clubs.

For the first time ever, highlights of Sky Bet Football League matches will be shown in a prime-time Saturday night slot from the beginning of next season, after the League signed a new three-year agreement for its free-to-air highlights with Channel 5.

Is that due to Champions league games and the Premier league?

It could work in "tournament" years, especially a World Cup one, when the Championship would finish a week earlier than Leagues 1 & 2.

Well, I was being a bit whimsical there, but if showing the games that may decide the play-off places on the last day of the season is to "promote" the play-offs, it's not doing a very good job of it, is it? Presumably this casual viewer will say "Oh, Ipswich were rubbish today, they'll probably be blown away by Norwich, I won't bother watching that."

The play-off final (and the semis) already get bigger ratings than a regular season game so it's clear casual viewers can find them without the need to promote them. Saying "the winner of this match is in the Premier League" is enough promotion.

Wonder if mobile clips would ever be made available of football league, or would it be logistically possible, or is it due to how quick Sky show the footage.
