More People Complain To BBC About Pointless,Dr Who Than About Middle East Cover

All I can say to the moaning morons is get a life.

To quote
Marge Simpson: Call me a killjoy, but I think that because this is not to my taste, no one else should be able to enjoy it.

    It's all there:

    -"Ban gays!" Check.
-Person sick and tired of the fact gay people exist. Check
    -"Ban sci-fi interracial relationships!" Check
-"I was too busy writing a complaint about how difficult the episode was to understand to pay attention to the episode". Check
-Reference to a non-existent religious agenda. Check.
    -"The show is sexist" Check
(Actually, I agree that the "men are apes" line was atrocious. It made me physically cringe. It felt like Moffat inserted it into the script to show to everyone how he's not a sexist -he isn't, but some people think he is- but ended up failing miserably. It was a truly awful cringeworthy line... but I don't really feel compelled to complain to the BBC about it or make sweeping statements about sexism)

Deep Breath confused every person watching it?

Haha. That's too good. How "dumbed down" does Doctor Who have to be?

1200 bullshit complaints about the show is a pretty poor turn-out by the trolls. One can only assume that Arsenal were playing the cast of Eastenders - on ice - watched by Simon Cowell - so the usual scumspects were too busy drinking their White LIghtening to make the calls.

Ah, those comments are hilarious! For a good laugh, read the comment where someone is complaining about the use of the word "dunce" on Great British Bakeoff. It's comedy gold! :D

You've also got to love how the BBC are simultaneously accused of pro-Palestinian AND pro-Israeli bias in their news reports. Just goes to show how its just people seeing what they want to see (and then whining about it).

Those 'complaints' say far more about the complainer than anything else.
Just proves that someone, somewhere will always find something to be offended by, if they look really, really hard.
But frankly, with all the horrendous things that are actually going on in the world, these people get upset over a 'kiss' between a fictional lizard lady and another fictional lady! Or the use of the word 'dunce'!! And then they think that their unbelievably petty, puffed up self important views are worth airing in the form of an official complaint!! What is wrong with these people? Seriously, what is wrong with them?

Saying you don't want lesbians on primetime TV isn't somehow cushioned if you add "I'm not a homophobe, but..." and "Some of my best friends are queers" to the complaint.

Although that particular cretin was concerned about it being "pre-watershed". After all, what if children watching had been turned gay by the episode?:o

Then there's the person who thinks kids are going to start humping reptiles. It's all part of "the current so-called modern world mentality", apparently. That's right, the made-up Political Correctness Brigade want everyone to treat animals as equals and indeed engage in inter-species sexual relationships with them.

Woah! Am I the only person who gets through a box of tissues during the show?

I always see complaints about Doctor Who being hard to follow with all the ongoing story lines. Does any other television drama get these sort of complaints? Because if I started watching Breaking Bad at the start of series 3, I'd probably be a little confused as to what's happening. The same could be said for the vast majority of dramas.

In fact, I watched Eastenders for the first time in months the other day and I hadn't a clue what was going on. I'm going to complain to the BBC that Eastenders episodes are too hard to understand when you haven't been watching for months.

Why is Doctor Who expected to be made up solely of self-contained stories when no-one cares if any other show has one continuous narrative?

    Who do I complain to?
It's disgusting, I don't want my children to be exposed to this sort of filth!! >:(>:(

Ohhh.... just realised. You must have had that same awful cold as me! :)

I love the internet, but it does make it just a bit too easy for people to make a knee-jerk complaint. Back in the day you'dve had to find some writing paper and a pen, write out their complaint nice and legibly, find an envelope, find a stamp and finally take the letter to the post box. Now they can just bash out their stream of consciousness and send it off with no effort at all, so they do!

Must admit I nearly complained about Pointless myself though - it wasn't that an episode was shown by mistake, one was deliberately not shown as the BBC realised they had got an answer wrong but they weren't big enough to admit it and hoped no-one would notice>:(

    Interested now! What was it?

It was the head-to-head round where they had to name parts of a digital camera. One of the answers was sensor when it should've been pixel.
The reason so many people got upset is it was the episode where £20,000 was won - so we'd been building up to it for weeks and then the show just started again at £1000 with no explanation. It looked like the BBC were just hoping no-one would notice and they wouldn't have to admit being wrong - which might've worked with any other episode, but not that one!

I think Arsenal were playing the Saturday early evening kick-off that week which would have finished round about the same time Doctor Who was starting

I was truly disgusted when they replayed an episode of pointless I'm surprised there weren't more complaints I think some people need to be fired to show how sickening showing this repeat is I mean young impressionable children could be watching. They're going to think it's OK to repeat things. I and my friends are disgusted and were sending out complaint after complaint about it. And a poll has been set up to fire that whole department. I'm currently in the process of creating leaflets and posters to give that department the sack.
