Just ordered the 9200-T. I understand what updating the firmware does but I wondered what updating the Loader achieves?

I think I'll have to get a cable as I'm going to miss the next OTA update.

The new loader increases the speed of your boot time. I wasn't having any issues at all with my boot time (took about 11-12 seconds), but still noticed a significant improvement after updating to the new loader.

It also fixes something to do with the RF.. something..?

Somebody else will fill you in on that. I'm pretty sure a complete list of fixes will be on the HUMAX website.

    What, break the PVR? ;)

I guess the only worry might be a power failure half way through the updating process, but I would hope that the Humax engineers have considered this possibility (but don't quote me!)

I updated to the latest firmware (using a cable) - before the update I was getting lockups. I didn't alter the loader from the 4.08 that was in there. I got one lockup, and then updated the loader. Since then it's been lock up free, and a joy to use.

This probably isn't the best thread for this, but perhaps someone could point me towards a more appropriate one as I'd suspect I'm not the only one with this problem.

I have the latest software and loader, and sometimes when I turn the Humax on from standyby iti locks. By this, I mean it doesn't turn on, the time freezes at the time I tried to switch it on at (and the dots between the hours and minutes stop flashing). I have to swithc it off at the back (and on again!) before I can get it working.

Anyone else having this problem? It used to happen just occasionally, but has been happening a few times a week recently.
