Golden English Cocker Spaniel appears distressed

I bought a two seater swing for my garden and I sit on my mums swing in her garden a lot when I go round. Lately, my spaniel has started going nuts whenever I sit on either one.

It's quite distressing to see and he looks really distressed. He paces up and down, jumps on the swing seats and squeals like he's being murdered. If I ignore him the squealing eventually calms but he doesn't stop pacing round the garden and eats the grass.

He never used to do this and it's puzzling me why he would suddenly start. He was neutered approx 5 weeks ago because he was getting a little aggressive with other dogs. He's nearly 20 months old. Anybody else had anything like this occur?
