Probably shouldn't affect most people up here.

I gather the Saorview second multiplex has started on the Maghera transmitter, so I would imagine that'll be the next retune once it makes it's way to Clermont Cairn, Cairn Hill, Truskmore etc.

Only testcards and placeholders at the moment.

I can get the full range of the Saorview RTE TV output here in Carrickfergus, 10 miles North of Belfast, on my Technika HD Feeview STB. They appear in the 800's on the program guide. My question is if I take up the "Youview" offer from Talktalk, will I still get the full range of channels after tuning it in? Anybody had success with this option? Thanks. Cant get access to RTE on Freesat. Need to outlay a small fortune for Saorsat.

YouView receivers have the necessary DVB-T2 tuner (in order to get the HD channels), so reception of the RTÉ channels should indeed be possible via the NImux.

When you mention the full range of Saorview channels I assume you're picking your signal up from Co Louth and not the trimmed down NIMM service from Carnmoney or Black Mountain.

I have the Humax Youview box and am picking up all the Saorview channels from the RTE transmitter in Co Donegal.

Thankyou

Yip! Clermont Carn is the source on Ch 52. If you are able to pick it up I guess I will too if I sign up. Talktalk doing Youview box for free (£280 at Argos) for TalkTalk plus customers like me or anybody who signs up. (£50 install)! Thanks for the info.

The TalkTalk YouView box is a Huawei box - but it has the MPEG4 tuner required for RoI reception.

As long as it picks up the channels I'm happy. Thanks for the further info.

Is anyone seeing low power from the Divis HD mux currently, or am I having tuner issues? (all other channels and devices are fine bar the HD ones on my sole HD box...)
ta.

It should come back.

Try using the tools on http://www.radioandtvhelp.co.uk/interference (from BBC Reception) to investigate.

This was possibly the cause of the picture stuttering with no sound at first on all channels from MUX1 yesterday. Fortunately problem sorted today.

Yep, I would imagine so. Even 3e has returned (It was relaying TV3 earlier)

Still, possibly some extra Sarview channels soon then, hopefully.

That might explain why ch 52 CC was out of sync with speech and vision on Thursday night. The NIMM was fine. Is 56 still going, or was it the occasional test done to make sure the tx can be fired up if they ever launch the second mux?
