RIP Teena I still remember as a young DJ the promo copies of her single arriving among the new releases and thinking wow. Her music certainly filled many nightclub/disco floors from around 1978/79 onwards.
Very sad. I too hadnt realized she had played the 02. Ive been listening to her and Rick James on You Tube today and it brought back so many memories. I was in California in 81 when they were in concert together.

Indeed it was a classic. It is a rare example of a disco song that sounds quite atmospheric. I heard the news on BBC Radio Lancashire's Jukebox this afternoon but couldn't quite believe it at first.
