Looks like we should avoid a clash of Melfest and DMGP again as DMGP is scheduled for the 7th of February in Alborg at the Gigantium where it was in 2012

Is there a full spreadsheet of the televote, and jury votes? So if saves having to look at each country individually? I was bored, so I had a look and collected the televotes of Sweden. Although Albania, and San Marino used jury votes, their votes are counted as part of the televote, and jury scores on the wiki page.

Here is a breakdown of Sweden's Televotes. I have also done Malta televote and jury too.

    (Televote - 4th 190 points).

    12 -
10 - Denmark, Finland, San Marino,
    8 - Armenia, Estonia, Malta,
7 - Iceland, Montenegro, Norway, Albania,
6 - Slovenia, Spain, The Netherlands,
5 - Belarus, Belgium, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Moldova, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Switzerland, Ukraine,
4 - Azerbaijan, FYR Macedonia, Latvia,
    3 - United Kingdom,
    2 - Georgia, Lithuania,
    1 - Austria,

I have too much spare time lol ;-) I will do more if there is no full spreadsheet. :)

Wading my way through the playlist and I have to say I'm quite disappointed by the lack of genuine TV themes and the overkill of songs in their own right which just so happen to be the intro music to a TV show. Obviously it's not breaking any rules, I just think it would be a bit more fun as opposed to turning into another Fantasy contest. :p

Kind of agree, and difficult to judge them against each other...

Actual lol at the first comment under the Home and Away video: "how beautiful reminds me of my relationship with Jesus christ :)" :D

My mum watched H&A religiously when she was pregnant (and still does) and said that when I was eventually born and she had it on TV I'd turn around when the theme tune came on because I recognised it from inside the womb!

32 great tunes are battling it out to be crowned DS' favourite TV theme. Without further ado, here is the playlist!

    And here are my reviews.......

    1. Ramin Djawadi - Main Theme (Game of Thrones)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s7L2PVdrb_8

I've never seen a single second of this show, but have seen that credit sequence before and it's good to have a proper unique set of credits for once rather than the modern fashion of very short and basic. Grand sounding theme to it too.

    2. Love Spit Love - How Soon Is Now (Charmed)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q9avFZjvaYU

Piss weak version of a brilliant song, it just makes me want to dig out the Smiths original.

    3. First Steps (BBC 2012 Olympic Coverage)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj3_3vvHDwE

I had hopes at the start that it would be epic, but it never seemed to get out of second gear and went on a bit too long.

    4. Yui - Again (Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNLsj2E4l6M

    Not for me at all.

    5. Home and Away theme (Home and Away)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwlxeYA1SQI

I feel like I've just been force fed a full bag of sugar. bleurgh.

    6. Star Trek: Voyager theme (Star Trek: Voyager)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ccYZTONpic

More often than not the opening and theme were the best part of the episode. Epic sound and look to the credits. As spectacular as Jeri Ryan was as Seven I always missed Kes after they unceremoniously dumped her.

    7. Regina Spector - You've Got Time (Orange is the New Black)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9_isl1jjHc

Sparky song. Never seen the show, but this is ok.

    8. Alistair Griffin - Just Drive (Sky Sports F1 theme)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CnxiRt4qeM4

F1 doesn't need lyrics, just The Chain.

    9. The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya theme (The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVYV-5TeYfg

    Very odd.

    10. The Pierces - Secret (Pretty Little Liars)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzNFwxsSPwU

Terrible show, and the theme gets very repetitive in long form.

    11. Bakenaked Ladies - History of Everything (The Big Bang Theory)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx-QNISuJWA

BBT is my tea-time comfort viewing. I've never liked the theme song though.

    12. Ja’net Dubois - Movin' On Up (The Jeffersons)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MYcqToQzzGY

    Very American and very bland.

    13. Blondie - One Way or Another (Sugar Rush)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1VFuHj9_Tgw

I think it's just laziness when shows use an old song for the theme. One of my favourite Blondie songs though. I'm off to dig out my copy of Parallel Lines once I'm done with the playlist.:kitty:

    14. Beautiful People theme (Beautiful People)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qeFmdiLfaO4

I like this. Lead singer of The Feeling if I'm not mistaken. It would be a good sound for a Eurovision entry.

    15. Dido - Here With Me (Roswell)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSu5nAQ7uZw

I'd pretty much forgotten about Dido until now. Not heard this in years. It still sounds good though. Is she still recording?

    16. Miss Marple theme (Miss Marple)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5wSGzqNmPU

Very BBC.......all twee and tweed. There's only one Miss Marple and theme for me......the immortal Dame Margaret Rutherford, a bloodhound in human form.......

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FG-ZO26pnE8

    17. The Choir of Young Believers - Hollow Talk (The Bridge)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXE6k3jsT-Y

What a disturbing video. I tuned out from the music pretty early on, but I found the clips quite hypnotic.

    18. Sandy McLelland - Going for Gold theme song (Going for Gold)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IY82spVBi8E

    Bloody awful.

    19. Neil Innes - Raggy Dolls (The Raggy Dolls)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsBRMhaKPps

This made me laugh. Very catchy, even though parts of it sound suspiciously close to Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer".

    20. The Littlest Hobo theme (The Littlest Hobo)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aFZKlfRrGbw

Never seen this show, but I remember the song from an advert a few year's back, that plus a friend told me the song reminds him of me.......not sure if he thinks of me as a dog or a hobo. Either way, should I be annoyed?:p

    21. The Handsome Family - Far From Any Road (True Detective)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pl6MCWMU8aE

Very Nancy Sinatra/Lee Hazelwood. Good stuff.

    22. The Professionals theme (The Professionals)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PCFVEvZvo3g

Could never stand this show or its cheap sounding music.

    23. Casey Jones theme (Casey Jones)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ig3GcDBjQN4

Drew's entry? Or is weedy up to his old tricks?:D You just know from that credit sequence the kid is going to be insufferable. Cheesy as hell.

    24. Dempsey and Makepeace theme (Dempsey and Makepeace)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a10c6Xj59JM

Sounds like it should be the theme for a cheap game show. Love the description under the vid about Glynis Barber and Michael Brandon "who after meeting on set marred and are still marred today":D As good a description of marriage as any I've read.:kitty:

    25. Jem and the Holograms theme (Jem and the Holograms)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6G_o1MYECg

Give me Josie and the Pussycats anytime in comparison, especially in outer space!

    26. Gladiators theme (Gladiators)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GlSFELEA1uA

I lasted a minute, which is about how long I could stomach the show for too back in the day.

    27. The Chain (BBC F1 theme)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n9h34xYsRrI

I'd love to know who picked this for use as the theme, the very definition of serendipity.

    28. The Addams Family theme (The Addams Family)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_YFk4b6yeX4

Sweet and neat indeed. My brother has a tendency to hum this theme whenever we have a family pic done nowadays.......I won't say which of us has the Uncle Fester hairdo.

    29. Two Fat Ladies theme (Two Fat Ladies)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xADTByEPWV4

    oh dear. Next!

    30. Big Brother theme (Big Brother)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3QVYGUf7J0

I bought the single when it was released. Startling theme to what was at the time a startling show. First two seasons were brilliant TV for me. Never bothered with it after that.

    31. Batman: The Animated Series theme (Batman: The Animated Series)

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lEx9r5enZsk

Isn't this just the film theme slightly reworked? Good series from what I got to see of it, but I prefer the full on film theme.

    32. Animaniacs theme (Animaniacs)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4YzTXxt9oOY

    Horrible.

Not the best playlist we've had, but a varied and interesting mix. Should be pretty easy to sort a top 10.

I think a lot of people (well, me anyway!) maybe thought that 20-30 secs would be too short and so maybe went for a longer version?

The only issue I had was locking down the final 10 and trying to rank them. Could've easily made a claim for giving points to about 20 of them. :)

Votes heading your way shortly Pandy.

I'm watching the first semi-final at the moment and I'd forgotten how oddly awkward the 3 hosts were.

Am I the only one who's only just seen the laugh out loud moment 3 minutes into the show? I love it, so cute.:D

All votes in! Thank you very much :)

I have to warn ahead of tonight - there is a chance that I won't make it back until after 9. If that's the case, then the results might now be until very late, which isn't ideal. If so, I'll do the reveal tomorrow night.

Would that be ok with everyone? It's not great I know and I'm going to try to do it tonight, but you know, unforeseen circumstances and all that ;):)
