I think you need to put things into perspective. The public don't hate her. Some Big Brother viewers don't like her as a housemate. They represent a tiny minority of the nation. It is only a tv show. People have been thrown out of that house for racism and I don't remember reading about vigilante attacks. I'm sure Helen will do just fine when she leaves.
I don't think I would use the phrase vigilante attack but the truth is some members of the public have taken BB too seriously in the past. A few past HMs have been attacked. Grace for one, I think Nadia and others. Some viewers don't separate watching someone on a reality show and actual reality.
