To follow up similar thread ask regarding the dating potential of smokers and single mothers, would you date a tee-tottaler?

I am a tee-tottaler myself, so a fellow tee-tottaler would be perfect for me.Otherwise I'd prefer a moderate drinker and certainly wouldn't consider dating someone who got drunk on a regular basis.

Yes, i don't see a problem with it ... unless they would make me feel guilty for having the odd drink, in which case it would be a big fat no.

I would I prefere fizzy drinks anyway because I find the taste of alchohol to bitter or sharp and wine just makes me sick.

I like alchopops because you can't taste the alchohol so much. It is annoying that the fad has worn off though as it is hard to find pubs that sell them now.

I would be fine with it, as long as they didn't mind me having the odd drink

    At my age?

A 28 year old tee-tottaler must be really boring.

Pretty sure they still sell WKDs as I can remember someone drinking a cheeky vimto last time I went out.

Well, I'm 32 and I'm not sure what is exciting about consuming liquid.

Yep, I would have no problem with dating a teetotaller but the OP really isn't my type, sorry :o

    What is a tee-tottaler?

    Non-drinkers have a label?

This is annoying, why are they boring?

Do you think your stories about "how drunk you were last night" are interesting?

    I'm not a tee-totaller either.

Honestly it would depend why, I rarely drink these days mainly because I've grown out of it, but there are a whole heap of reasons I think I would avoid someone who had actively never had or given up alcohol, not least because I don't think I would share a lot of their views on life if it was for religious/health/judgemental reasons.

I like a drink to relax, I don't want somebody tutting every time I peruse the wine aisle in Tesco.

I think it's a marker in the compatibility stakes.

Simply there is no need for me to drink alcohol. Can you think of a reason?

To change my personality - I prefer my current personality.

To fit in - if people don't like me as me, I don't care.

To give me a false sense of happiness - there's lots of things that already give me genuine happiness.

You prove me wrong. Your condescending attitude proves you're bags of fun.

    But you're assuming that all tee-tottalers tut-tut.

Many couldn't care less what other people do.

My wife is teetotal and I would only drink one or two beers at special events to be social. 27yrs old and I've been drunk twice!

Personally I couldn't date someone who didn't drink at all. So much of my social life involves spending time with people in pubs/bars/parties that it just wouldn't work.

Though I wouldn't want to date someone who was a bad influence (ie who encouraged me to drink more than I do).
