What albums out there have flopped (in terms of sales, don't be fooled by position) which you actually really enjoyed and still like today.

For me it has to be

Britney - Blackout
Paris Hilton - Paris
Joss Stone - Introducing Joss Stone
Natasha Bedingfield - NB
Sophie Ellis Bextor - Trip the light fantastic
Mutya Buena - Real Girl
Jordin Sparks - Battlefield
Taio Cruz - Departure
Ashlee Simpson - Bittersweet world
Gavin DeGraw - Gavin DeGraw
Shontelle - Shontelligence
Flo Rida - ROOTS
Jesse McCartney - Departure

There's loads as I couldn't care less how albums place chart wise but one that instantly springs to mind is the self titled debut from the 90's Mockney accented Hepburn.

    I liked Mutya Buena's too.

Fried - I didn't realise this hadn't done well until I read something about it recently and they changed labels and reissued it apparently. I love it.

David Gray - Draw The Line

Nowhere near the success White Ladder was, which is a shame because it's a fantastic album

    Britney Spears - Blackout.

Released at the peak of her downfall, to be honest I loved it, she had a more clubby, dance theme to it especially with Piece of Me, Gimme More and Break The Ice.

Gareth Gates - Pictures Of The Other Side.

I can't remember where it charted exactly, but I know it didn't make Top 10.

It's actually a very good album. Gareth's voice sounds great on it. It was a large improvement on the album he brought out previously "Go Your Own Way"

I listen to POTOS regularly though. Some fabulous songs on it. <3

If by flop you just mean not that successful in terms of sales, then:

    - Bat For Lashes - Fur and Gold
    - CSS - CSS
    - Goldfrapp - Felt Mountain
    - Skin - Fleshwounds
    - Skin - Fake Chemical State
    - Lisa Lopes - Supernova
    - M.I.A - Kala
    - Sigur Rós - ( ) and Ágætis byrjun
    - Peaches - I Feel Cream
    - Grace Jones - Hurricane
    - Skunk Anansie - Smashes and Trashes (:( No one knew it was out! Done well in other countries, though).

    Also:
    Annie - Don't Stop
Alphabeat - This Is Alphabeat + The Spell (OK, The Spell hasn't even been released in the UK yet but its certain to flop)
Mr Hudson - Straight No Chaser
    Little Boots - Hands
    The Saturdays - Wordshaker

Surely 'Blackout' didn't do that badly?
Its a great album imho :o

tbh the music I listen to hardly shakes the top ten to its foundations (ie Mogwai, A Day To Remember, P@tD) so you could say all the albums I like are 'flops' :D

"Bittersweet World" is a bit rubbish but I really like a lot of the material on "Autobiography", especially the title track.
She never quite got over her Saturday Night Live nightmare did she!

No. And it's a shame because so many people have mimed (and on a regular basis, i.e Britney) yet some made out that it was the worst thing on earth, and as if she was the only one to ever mime:eek: She was ill too apparently, was told by her doctor not to speak and deffinately not to sing.

I didn't like Bittersweet World when I first heard it, but it really grew on me. :)

The Saturdays -Wordshaker. At least seven potential singles yet only lasted five weeks in the top 100. :(

Agreed. But I think her problems were made worse when she initially blamed her band for the mistake, when they'd actually tried to help cover it up... :o

Quite a few of her albums have been brilliant yet she never seems to get any credit.
