Fair play to him. 24 hours of dancing would be challenging enough, but on top of that he's had to look and remain engaging with the supporters and crowd and other celebrities which must be pretty tiring for such an extended period!

It isn't really 24 hours he has been taking breaks

yeh sure but please dont look down on those who don't dance labelling us as sad

But it is sad. I feel terribly sorry for you. You clearly seek the approval of others or you wouldn't make such negative comments in the first place. You disapproved of my personal enjoyment.

    That's sad.

Anyway, I'm off to do some more dancing.

    Alright....

Fair play to him. 24 hours *(minus time for breaks to use the toilet) of dancing would be challenging enough, but on top of that he's had to look and remain engaging with the supporters and crowd and other celebrities which must be pretty tiring for such an extended period!

well i think dancing on ones own is sad but you don't like that do you, i do not seek the approval of others thank you, this is a forum where we are allowed to post comments positive and negative, agreeing and disagreeing, enjoy your dancing on your own although i wouldn't find it enjoyable and would think its futile

Not raising money for charity though. Thought it was a lousy programme myself.

    Agree with you.

Microphoned up all the time too (apart from his bathroom breaks :p ) he's not put a foot or word wrong.

Wonder how John Inverdale would get on under such pressure. :D

He hasn't, he's only on intermittently, there was also a black guy doing it at one point. Dermot's the only one that's been dancing constantly.

    fair enough.
it's a lot tougher than most people would think I'm sure but I'm one of those who finds it aggravating that these people earn such huge salaries at the BBC and we're still asked to contribute.
    can't fault Dermot's effort though

All the others have taken it in turns to dance, none have been there the whole time with Dermot.

It is rather annoying especially when Jeffrey Archer pointed out one morning on Breakfast tv that 114 people at the BBC earned more than the Prime Minister. The presenters on the couch looked a bit squirmish at that point!! :D

i'm finding it strangely addictive too, wonder if it's cos we can hear the celebs talking to each other "naturally" ? and just wondering who's going to turn up I guess as well as seeing how Dermot stands up to the challenge - and there's been some great music played, so win win I guess?

It is all getting a bit busy down the piazza now, thronging with people.

It was a bt more sedate earlier this morning when celebs turned up and did their thing without the obvious frenzy that is going on now.

I've found it addictive too and I think like you said it's interesting seeing the celebrities just interacting naturally and generally having a good time and showing support, it's a very feel good atmosphere. Also agree that the added surprise of who's going to turn up next/what song will be on next is great.

loved Ricky Wilson singing this morning

the way Dermot was saying to celebs "thanks for dropping in" I was wondering about then and then I realised how the production team must have organised exactly who's going to be there and when .. that guy that keeps moving dermot to where he's meant to be... I

thought one embarassing bit was Jack Dee (out of his comfort zone surely) hanging around waiting whilst Dermot was on one of his longer breaks

seems like a great atmosphere though and I'm not generally into all these televised charity marathons

Saying that the dancing troupe (5 girls) in the black leggings have been there a lot, think they have possibly been doing it most of the time since last night (when specialist acts aren't on) so they deserve a lot of credit too, especially as they are moving a bit more vigorously :).
