Internet Access in NZ for iPad

Hey guys, off to NZ for three weeks next month. It can be a bit confusing working out how to ensure coverage over there, so what's the best option in terms of payment plans and such?

Anyone been there and suggest any help? Want to be connected, but not at extraordinary price.
