Indeed, as Cameron has just made the massively complacent statement that we can cover any threat. the Russians might well be tempted to make him look like an idiot - a regimental size sortie dispersing all over the place should do it - leaving the US and French to chase down anyone we can't.
Well, I'm sure our allies will continue to help out, after all that's why NATO is there.
The Russians don't have the same capability the Soviets once had either and I'm sure they struggle to put a squadron of Bears in the air, never mind a whole regiment. I'm sure if they did it once or twice we could match them.
However, I do agree that the Typhoon Force is going to be asked to do a lot in the next few years as the Tornado winds down, then again the tornado seems to be having a small repreive of late.
