You obviously have no idea as to how fit, balanced, strong and athletic a jockey has to be.

All this and remaining at a ridiculously low weight, around 8 stone, and taking the inevitable injuries.

If they have to be 8 stone why is McCoy over 10 stone? The fat lump.

Does every award have to be preceded by a Take That tune.

8 stone RACING weight. He isn't at the moment. It's Christmas! He's allowed to eat at Christmas!

Would've LOVED to see Fergie presenting Becks this award. That made me laugh.

    What an 'athlete'! :p

Interesting, though, that the best defenders of racing can say is that they have to weigh very little. So basically their prime contribution is encumbering the horse as little as possible. Woop-de-doo!

    Me too.

Get the feeling it was all arrange for him ....pre England LOSING the world cup bid.... as a ta

Probably a wasted award now :D:D:D

    hence Prince William.

But he is a decent bloke and its difficult not to like him.

Deserves it cos I think he is a proper footballer at heart.

No, he's 10 stone 2. He's always 10 stone 2. No National Hunt jockeys are eight stone.

Isn't it only for Brits? But if not Johnson would be a deserving recipient.

Yes and Seve Ballesteros has won the Lifetime Achievement Award twice!! Which sounds a bit odd.

He 'coaches' them as much as managers do.The captain in the Ryder Cup is crucial.

That would be a Manager then.
    or a " Captain " ???

    Not a coach :D:)

Did you see the piece on what AP McCoy eats in a day ? I doubt you did

Breakfast - cup of tea with 2 sugars and one slice of toast

Lunch - Cup of tea and 2 jelly babies

Dinner - slice of chicken with steamed veg

    That is it

I wept buckets when Sir Bobby Robson won it. Never warmed to Charlton. Miserable bugger. The award wasn't invented when they were young.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets when the new year ones are revealed in less than two weeks.

He's still not eight stone though, as claimed earlier. And never will be.
