Series 4 will start where series 3 left off, on Christmas Day. We saw Michael take the Shirley Gutter hostage and he’s going to completely flip when he realises he’s been duped once again by Janine. With Ronnie, Roxy, PrincessPerfect, Sez_babe, Priscilla, Shirley, blue_angel, klendathu, Poppy, Zack, Janine and Maurice all trapped, will they all make it out alive? IanMandy is also threatening to kill himself thinking himself responsible for Emily’s disappearance. We saw his mental state deteriorate over the course of the third series, who can talk him round?, will anyone?
One of the characters to watch this series is vaslav. We saw the start of his big storyline at the latter end of the last series. That’s going to continue and get quite dark and nasty. We’ll find out the culprit and it’ll tackle one of those issues we like to pretend doesn’t still exist as well as bullying in the workplace. He’ll call on someone who’s been through a similar experience but he’ll be tested to the limit and we’ll finally find out what makes this character tick.
Dullagj2 will come face to face with his brother for the first time in 3 years. Old tensions will come to the surface and we’ll begin to think we don’t know these characters like we thought we did. They’ve many layers and both haven’t really recovered from the trauma they’ve experienced earlier in life. Gary will put his money to good use when he uses the money he stole to find Emily. Dan won’t be happy. He’ll show his determination not to go down for murder, with Bevis playing the role of his conscience and confidante, how long before their lies catch up with them?
Sharon and Scrabbler will establish themselves as the matriarch and patriarch of the Square. Sharon will be putting her tragic past to good use helping the troubled souls of the Square. Vald has been the nearest thing to a matriarch we’ve had but not living on the Square has meant that she couldn’t reach out to everyone. She has the benefit that she can take people away from that environment. The Square can be very claustrophobic at times with everyone knowing everyone’s business. Scrabbler will be putting his life experience to good use which will lead us on to his own story about an underlying issue he suffers.
Other questions to ponder: will sorcha and maurice finally reunite?, will toni be discharged?, can los.kav finally accept himself and stop worrying what everyone else thinks of him?, the Michael/Janine saga will come to a close what directions will that take all involved? and is the end for the Shirley Gutter?
This series will build towards the show’s 50th episode entitled, “The Circle of Life”, which will see this series stories coming to a thrilling climax.
