.... How great was Lauren on Saturday?
Lauren started singing lessons at the age of 13, although she started private LAMDA tutorials at the Hinkley Speech and Drama Studio at the age of seven and began her ballet classes at the age of two!
When Lauren was born she had a condition which meant she had to wear two hearing aids. She stunned doctors at the age of 18, however, when her hearing came back to a normal capacity.
She believes that Dorothy has a lot of balls and guts which she says she has - she wants to be a funny Dorothy, with lots of spark. She would also love to put all her training into action in the role. She feels that she is as impulsive as Dorothy is, and that like her, she is constantly striving for bigger and better things.

someone made a thread for her
lauren is my favourite!!! I can't believe people are saying she is too old, she's only 22!
i loved her performance on saturday and i thought she was amazing in the dorothy mash-up!!!!
Still ... I'm sure she'll do fine
Wonder what her song will be next week! I'd love her to be able to do a solo of Legally Blonde!
She's my fave by miles - gorgeous singing voice and looks like Dorothy. I've just posted on the 'whack 'em' thread to say I just don't get the negativity about her.
Not winnings been a good thing for Daniel and Sarah supergirlblibs.
Yeah definatly!! Saw Daniel in Avenue Q - I get that he probably wasn't right for Joseph, but he was incredible in AQ!
Also, got to see Sarah a couple of times live - even as Nancy in then end .... AMAAAZING!
But back to Lauren ....
Even if she doesn't win I think she's too good not to land something big before long. I could also see Lauren filling the Albert Hall in a few years!
No - we're not getting any clues this year
She also looks like Susan McFadden/her character Serena as well as suggesting she could sing the role.
I've heard she's a bit worried about her song this week as it doesn't show off her voice that much, but she's been working with Sheila Hancock on her acting skills so I believe she will pull it off anyway!!
   Hope that doesn't turn out to be true. She's got the best voice in the comp imo.
Hopefully she will be aware of this now and take care how she answers any questions fired at her for VT (even if they are leading ones). If they edit her to come across as big-headed she will lose voters even if her performances continue to be good. To us Brits, unlike Americans, confidence often is interpreted as smugness - and the programme makers know this.
If Lauren isn't successful this time I am sure she soon will be picked up very quickly for another role. Hope so.
She doesn't strike me as arrogant or over-confident at all, in fact I can't find anything about her not to like. I do wonder though if she is being set up very slightly as the safe / experienced one who doesn't need to win?
I thought that too. But they always do that and not just on the BBC. ITV did it a lot on DOI especially with Heather Mills.
Really like Lauren but wasn't keen on that song. It didn't do justice to her fab voice imo.
Also I remember Seamus in 'Any Dream Will Do' ? He was portrayed as a real arrogant prat !
Wow, I had no idea about that.
Good for her
She's been good in both performances and no way did she deserve to be in the bottom two. But it could well be a blessing in disguise.
We have this strange culture in Britain, where it's seen as wrong to be confident, and go into a competition saying you want to win. So for Lauren to say that she thought she would win - which came across as half in jest anyway, made her seem arrogant and cocky.
Regardless of that, and whatever people think of her, that performance was outstanding ... even Charlotte who said she was cocky (which was out of order, imo) said that she had ever right to be after that performance.
The judges this year are showing off their faves even worse that last I think, John saying Emilie was good .... Are his ears not working?
Another of things against Lauren was being alongside Danielle, so ALW , who so clearly is favouring her only really had good words to say to her, and sort of left Lauren with half feedback.
I'm really hoping that Lauren doesn't become the Rachel of IDA ... Liked by the panel but not really "got" by the public ... Then again, Rachel is hardly doing bad for herself is she? Elpheba in Wicked isn't a bad job!!
