No doubt hacked to bits and ad riddled. Bond films should be on commercial free channels

I loved it when 'From Russia With Love' was on BBC TWO on a Sunday night a few years back. Commercial free Bond.

What a waste Sky Movies 007 was if it's ended back on ITV. Typical Sky though on cashing in on its 50th anniversary.

ITV have scheduled Dr No in a 3.50pm slot although no doubt the time slot will change each week. I'm glad Bond is back on free to air TV again. I hated when they were being shown on Sky. Although i have the films on DVD I always love to watch them on TV :)

    Please explain why?

Highest bidder gets the rights. End of story.

If you want them ad free and uncut then the DVDs are quite cheap these days

I have them all on DVD and I paid quite a bit as it was about 10 years ago, I wish I had them on BluRay though!

I dont like watching films on any of ITV's channels as they always crop them to bits!
Channel 5 are worse though, sometimes they only have a 4:3 SD copy and they put that on their HD channel! I get they might not have access to HD if they didnt get the HD rights, but a 4:3 copy? when its supposed to be widescreen!
Channel 4 and BBC do much better with widescreen films, I know Channel 4 arent so good with 5.1 sound but that I dont find so bad.

Are you prepared to pay for that privledge? Stop moaning and be thankful they've returned back to terrestial tv instead of being on a premium service.

Well the studios could do FTA rights and Premium rights! Then Sky could sow them and ITV also!

Skyfall is no. 23 in the official line up, but thats if you dont take into acount two things:
1, Skyfall may not be ready to be on Terrestrial TV? Unless they are letting ITV premier it in the summer say (as thats when they should get to it)
2, it may be 24 weeks after the 19th Jan as there is Never Say Never and the spoof Casino Royale, if they show these then there will be 25 weeks of Bond!
This timing would mean that Skyfall may be on the 22nd of June or 6th of July? depending on those two points.

You would have thought ITV would premier Skyfall on a Bank Holiday rather than a normal weekend.
