Reporting that is one thing, suggesting that he "must have been looking to visit a load of young girls all around the country" is pretty clearly libel, unless you have proof of that.
Although I am clearly not a Labour fan, I wouldn't have minded seeing Labour kick out the odious Peter Bone in this seat. This scandal has probably put pay to that.
How did he buy £900 of train tickets to travel from Northants to Berkshire without having any funds in his account? Surely that's a matter for his bank - why did the train company give him the tickets if he didn't have the funds.
sadly I know the accused. He was our parliamentary candidate until he went quiet just after Christmas and another took his place. He was all mouth and no action. Constantly writing letters to the local paper drenched in soundbites and rhetoric. They could have been written by Labour HQ and had his name stamped for all anybody would know. The one thing he did was organise a replacement venue when a local fireworks event got cancelled on short notice.
I do believe his excuse of wanting to visit friends in the local area. But maybe he should have thought about that before he parachuted into Northants. Either way fraud is fraud and he has an appointment with a magistrate. No real loss to the Berkshire electorate.

A lot of places went Labour in 97 and 01 that never had before, and likely wont again.
Labour are losing their core vote. They used to be the party of the worker, now their champagne socialists who are more do as I say, not as I do.
