Anyone watching this about the Westgate shopping mall terrorist attack in Kenya?.
With the CCTV and interviews with the survivors it's utterly terrifying.:(

I'm keen to learn the story of the tragedy but I'm not keen on seeing real scenes of slaughter.
You see people shot who go on to die, plus many bodies of people who had been shot. So it is gory but not sensationalist or revelling in the gore.
Anyone who can should watch this.
And it became so random in their madness. Some people allowed to leave, others shot (sometimes according to religion, other times as if a coin was mentally flipped).
As for the "rescue" forces, particularly the army... well another form of madness and mostly totally inept.
Same here.
I'd like to think rather than enforcing the need for airstrikes, probably leading to mission creep (as before) extending to the inevitable Civilian deaths, and more crazy martyrs for isis/al queda/taliban radical islam entites, this programme might effect some of the more radically inspired to think what they actually acheived in this particular instance. The slaughter of men, women and children during their shopping routine should not inspire a rational person.
Warning: it's probably the most shocking, exasperating footage I've ever seen.Real life killings, as already said here, quite indiscrimate at times, and sometimes not, which is the shock here.
The bravery of the victims and the plain clothes police officers (and the airport security men who went in with them) was astonishing. The SWAT team and the Army were a disgrace. No organisation, no communications, no planning and no discipline. How many of the wounded died because they failed to act in time?
They seemed to have absolutely no clue what to do.
Terribly upsetting to watch, and highlighted just about every facet of human nature - the good and the brave, as well as the bad and evil.
Very well put.
I was in tears watching this, but just couldn't bring myself to switch channels.
War documentaries should never be censored.
At the end they said the mall was looted. Does this mean it was the soldiers who did the looting?
