I absolutely love babies, especially newborns, so I will definitely take a look at her if I see her on tv. Plus, it's always good to hear that both Mum and baby are well following the birth.
I have no interest in the royal family though, so really it's just a general interest, the same as when you hear about anyone having a baby.
Hating it, hating the coverage = extremely interested.
Avoiding it and not commenting = not interested.
The threads i'm not interested in don't get opened.
lol
Great TV!
You clearly have a different definition of the word 'interested' than the dictionary does.
However to actually feel hate then one must have passion in the subject which implies interest whether that be a positive or negative interest
Morris dancing is cheaper and watching men jumping about with bells on waving sticks at each other can be quite fun. It would be more fun if they were naked with just the bells and sticks but you can't have everything.
Kind of the level that thinks "that's nice for them" then looks at a couple of pictures and that's it - you know it's not a baby I am going to meet or buy anything for or share in the joys with the parents you know but it's nice to hear the news and see a picture and think how nice it is for the parents. As with any birth it's good to hear both mother and child are healthy but to me royal or not it's the same same as any other baby I'm not into following every movement of any baby, if I see the new baby or George on the news, that's ok it goes hand in hand with who they are but I won't seek anything out I don't really do this for anyone within the public eye, if I see a bit of news about people fair enough but I don't buy magazines or anything like that to seek out gossip or exclusive interviews/pictures and this will be the same with anyone of the royal family.
That is exactly how I feel about it, its not something I will be seeking out other than what I happen to come across on tv, newspapers, magazines etc but I'm pleased for them and will probably have a few discussions with various people.
It's not the be all and end all that some posters are accusing people of thinking.
When some people who don't like football express hate about the wall-to-wall TV coverage during the World Cup, I wouldn't say that they are 'extremely interested' in football, that doesn't make sense.
Personally im not interested in the royal baby, just like i wouldnt be interested in a celeb baby or someone i dont personally know having a baby.
But part of my job is spending time chatting to elderly patients and since a lot of them are interested in the royal family it gives me something extra to talk about and i know many of them will like to see pictures in the paper and hearing about it on the radio
