Hopefully Chelsea will now play 'a little bit with the handbrake on' and we'll get away with 6-0 or something.

    So far so good. :p

Of course the scoreline matters. This is extremely embarrassing. I didn't think it could get worse than 8-2, but it looks like this could end 7,8,9 even 10-nill.
My point is if we didn't concede two cheap goals early in the first half, the performance would be a bit different.

Six now. An utter embarrassment. If Wenger is not prepared to set up his teams accordingly then he should go at the end of the season. Was nothing learned from the Liverpool shambles? Obviously not it would seem. You can't just can't blindly go into these matches without some kind of game plan. Can't wait for the post much stuff. Please don't insult our intelligence and point to the penalty incident as being the turning point Mr Wenger.

This does not look good going into a massive FA Cup game in a couple of weeks

Got an inkling this has made Wenger's contract decision all the more easier.

Go for the FA Cup and leave?

Pff. Oh well, we have to dust ourselves off and move on. We were never going to win the title anyway :p Top 4 fight it is then....

Chins up guys..it looks bad..and it is but realiscally the title was never going to happen.. a 1-0 loss would been all right but certain players showed today they aint good enough.

    Giroud
    Sagna
    Jenkinson
    Szheny

Unlucky, but the FA cup could be small shining light in a positive season gone wrong..again

And it finishes 6-0. Probably worst performance of the season and certainly the worst result. No chance of winning the title now, 7 points behind. Got to go all-out for the FA Cup now.

Arsenal have the finances behind them to build a world beating squad yet they hang on to a manager who lives off past glories. Wenger inherited a decent squad, added a couple of decent players, but has done nothing since that squad departed.

Wenger and the board are cut from the same cloth. They just want CL money, he'll deliver it.

Still can't believe the ref sent off Gibbs instead. The ref here has stole the headlines with his stupidity.

Of course we need to remember that 4th place doesn't necessarily get a CL spot next season.

Scored 1 conceded 17 away against our supposed "title rivals" :o

Team isn't good enough in many positions. Manager isn't good enough, period.

We scored 3 against Man. City so it's scored 4, not 1. Still a bad record though.

Sure silly mistake but lets be honest, the rot set in before that. We simply did not show up today & got hammered 6 - 0 & quite frankly deserved too.
The good thing is that we are still in the FA Cup & are quite comfortable in the CL place for next season but we simply cannot turn off the gas now.

But why do injuries always strike at the crucial point of the season?

Well I hope the players and the manager are hurting after that. Questions need to be asked. Why did we look so weary and lethargic from the off? Chelsea played midweek, okay it wasn't the hardest game in the world for them and they were at home but the fact remains they had less recovery time. We have had all week to prepare for this. Wenger called it the match of the season for Arsenal. So why oh why were we under cooked yet again? Was nothing learned from the Liverpool and City games? It was imperative we kept it tight for the first half at least. Not saying play for a draw but don't bloody concede and see how it unfolds in the 2nd half as tiredness sets in for both teams.

It's like watching a big car crash in slow motion. He sits there dumbfounded by it all as if it's not really happening. To get thumped once during the season is just about acceptable but three times and all in a similar vein is nothing short of a disgrace for a club of Arsenal's stature.
